  1.       INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USE OF E-13SND1 ALTERNATE SOUNDS FOR DOOM.

  3. NOTE:  This software is intended for use with the full, 3 episode version
  4.        of DOOM.  It will not work with the shareware version.
  5.  
  6. Very simple:
  7.  
  8. 1, Send a copy of your original DOOM.WAD file to your hard drive root dir
  9.    for safekeeping.  This is not a "must", just a very good idea!
  10.  
  11. 2, Unpack this archive in your DOOM directory.
  12.  
  13. 3, Run the file LOADENS.EXE and follow the prompts.  If there is anything
  14.    wrong, the program will tell you and then exit to DOS.
  15.  
  16. There is no mystery here, the loader will tell you exactly what it is doing
  17. every step of the way.  It makes a copy of your original DOOM.WAD file and
  18. makes any changes to the copy.  Therefore your original WAD is not altered.
  19. To restore the original WAD, it merely kills the modified version of the WAD
  20. puts the original back in place and under the correct name for use with the
  21. game.

  23. The files in this program are no big deal either, but take it from me that
  24. you'll need to have EVERY file in the archive in your DOOM directory in order
  25. for the program to work.  That's the reason you should distribute only the
  26. original archive to others.  Please make sure all files are included and DO
  27. NOT rename the archive.  The archive name is the only way SysOps can tell
  28. which version they have on their BBS!
